Call Centre /Tele-service training

Ireland is one of the most advanced countries in the world in the field of information technology and data communications. This country has a highly skilled workforce and we are geographically well placed. In recent years many well-known multi-national companies have located their customer service centre in Ireland. This has created a stream of job opportunities. The recent announcement by M.B.N.A. regarding the creation of a call centre in Carrick-on-Shannon is an example of the opportunities that exist for teleservices operatives.

In line with the policy of keeping up-to-date with changing trends, Drumshanbo Commercial College introduced a Call Centre Operator Course two years ago.

Students are offered the opportunity to amalgamate this training with the existing course in Computer Applications and are therefore provided with an opportunity to be highly skilled in every aspect of modern office training.

EUROPEAN COMPUTER DRIVING LICENCE

Drumshanbo Commercial College has recently been approved as an authorised test centre for ECDL Training. The ECDL provides computer certification in a range of computer applications according to a pan-European industry standard. This course will be offered to both day and evening class students from September 2001.

FEES   

Tuition is free. Maintenance grants are available for eligible students. Mature students may be eligible under the VTOS Scheme.
